William Franklin Thomas Church of God Independent Holiness
William Franklin Thomas, son of Joseph and Margaret Thomas, born January 10, 1863 at Bynumville, Missouri. Passed away, at the home of his daughter at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 11:50 am Wednesday, April 21, 1948
He grew to manhood at the homestead in North Missouri, where he met and married Celia Frances LAKE, March 24, 1886. To this union five children were born, two, Bertie Roy, an infant and David Earl, age 21, having proceeded him in death.
With his wife and young children he moved to southeast Missouri. Hence to Oklahoma, and for the past 21 years has made his home in this community. At the age of 17 he united with the Independent Holiness Church, this Faith, he strictly adhered to throughout the remainder of his life.
His wife was called to her reward March 22, 1930 while living at Carney [Lincoln Co.], OK.
He leaves to morn his passing two sons and a daughter, Everett and Arthur Thomas of Carney, and Mrs. Opal WILSON of Oklahoma City. One sister, Mrs. Molly EAGEN of Cushing, Oklahoma. 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

He married CATHERINE PRISCILLA MAST September 11, 1881 in Skidmore, Nodaway Co., Missouri, daughter of JOHN MAST and ADALINE BROWN. She was born April 17, 1866 in Skidmore, Nodaway Co., Missouri, and died June 21, 1958 in Ft Scott, Bourbon Co., Kansas.
